FAQ's
Frequently Asked Questions. You Ask — We Answer
We are a veteran-owned company specializing in Independent Medical Opinions (Nexus Letters) and DBQs to accurately define injuries or illnesses related to military service that assist with VA benefits claims.
IMOs are typically completed in 7 days or less if we have all the required information. We offer an express service for clients who need letters within 48 hours but can also assist within 24 hours on a case-by-case basis.
Independent Medical Opinions (IMOs) are reports produced after reviewing pertinent documentation and supportive medical literature – often called a Nexus Letter.
An expert will evaluate your health records and determine if enough evidence exists to support a positive independent medical opinion. Any discrepancies or errors in the health records will be investigated, and all relevant information will be included.
We do not diagnose or treat any medical conditions. Our Independent Medical Opinions are based on pre-existing diagnoses and medical evidence from personal health records.
We cannot give you any legal advice, and you would have to consult with a legal practitioner for guidance concerning representation related to your medical claim. https://www.va.gov/disability/get-help-filing-claim/
Our virtual platform makes us and our services available to any veteran, anytime, anywhere.
We often work with clients represented by accredited agents and attorneys. We are happy to communicate with your accredited legal professional about your case.
You can submit multiple nexus letters or DBQs if they have more than one medical condition or if additional supporting evidence is needed. Ensuring that each document provides relevant and accurate information about your condition and its connection to military service is critical.
We are happy to work with you on a payment plan based on your specific needs; however, all fees must be paid before completing the documents. Please get in touch with us for more details.
We cannot guarantee a specific outcome. If our experts do not believe the evidence supports a positive opinion, we will not offer to assist with a letter and will provide direct and transparent feedback on these matters.
Veterans can seek assistance from VA-accredited representatives, veteran service organizations, or legal professionals for advice on whether this is a good option for your case specifics.
You can request a nexus letter or DBQ from many sources to include but not limited to your treatment provider, the VA or from an expert company like Prestige Veteran Medical Consulting.
