Rebecca Deming
Rebecca C. Y. Deming is the Founder and Principal Attorney of ProVet Legal, P.A., a nationwide veterans disability law firm headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida. A licensed attorney in Florida and Virginia and a VA-accredited representative admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, she has dedicated her career to helping veterans secure the disability and survivor benefits they have earned.
Rebecca’s path into veterans disability law was shaped by more than a decade of international service and her deep personal connection to the military as the spouse of a retired Navy Senior Chief. After graduating Cum Laude from Cornell University, she earned her J.D. Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami School of Law, where she received the prestigious Harvey T. Reid Scholarship, was elected to the Order of the Coif, and served on Law Review.
Her early legal career included work at two major international law firms before she joined USAID in Afghanistan as a Rule of Law Advisor supporting U.S. and NATO forces. She later became the Senior Rule of Law Advisor for Eastern Afghanistan, contributing to post-conflict stabilization, counter-corruption initiatives, and the rewriting of U.S. Army and NATO stability operations doctrine. Rebecca went on to serve as a Senior Human Rights Advisor for the U.S. Department of State and delivered human rights training to UN peacekeepers across Africa, including Rwanda, Kenya, Senegal, Niger, Benin, and others.
Before founding ProVet Legal, she managed hundreds of VA appeals. Today, Rebecca is a published author, technical editor of Veterans Benefits Guide for Dummies, frequent NOVA national conference speaker, former PFAWL chapter president, and an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She remains passionately committed to ensuring that every veteran receives the benefits they deserve.
