About Alan Bucholz, PA-C
Board-Certified Physician Assistant | Retired U.S. Army Combat Veteran | Co-founder & CFO, Prestige Veteran Medical Consulting
Alan Bucholz, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant and retired U.S. Army veteran with a distinguished career combining military service, emergency medicine, and veteran health advocacy. Known for his precision, ethical standards, and unwavering commitment to veterans, Alan specializes in delivering evidence-based medical opinions that strengthen VA disability claims.
Military Service and Medical Training
Alan began his career in the U.S. Army as a combat medic, deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His firsthand experience treating service members in high-pressure, resource-limited environments inspired him to further his medical training.
Recognizing the need for highly trained military medical professionals, Alan pursued the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP)—a rigorous, joint-service program that produces advanced medical providers for the U.S. Armed Forces. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as an officer and later deployed to Afghanistan, where he continued to serve soldiers in combat zones, providing critical emergency care under demanding conditions.
Transition to Civilian Medical Leadership
After his military service, Alan applied his medical expertise and leadership skills to the civilian sector. In 2019, he co-founded Prestige Veteran Medical Consulting with his wife, Leah Bucholz, PA-C—herself a board-certified Physician Assistant, Army Combat Veteran, and former VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) Examiner.
Together, they identified a crucial gap in the legal-medical space: the need for accurate, compliant, and ethically grounded medical documentation to support veterans’ disability claims. Today, their firm partners with VA law firms and veterans nationwide, ensuring each case is backed by strong, evidence-based medical analysis.
